Below is the Main Screen of "Simple Lathe Cam".  As you can see there are 13 different Tool Radius Compensation calculators within "Simple Lathe Cam"  6 tool radius compensation calculators for the OD and 6 tool radius compensation calculators for the ID on parts running on a CNC Lathe.  Also included is a "Cut-Off Chamfer Calculator".


In Simple Lathe Cam you can easily calculate tool radius compensation for angles and fillets or radii in both internal and external applications and part-off chamfers.

Simple Lathe Cam can calculate the tool radius compensation needed to produce straight angles or angles with fillets or edge breaks and even generate the G Code needed!

Below is an example of a "Parting-Off" of a part with a chamfer:


With Simple Lathe Cam’s Cut-Off Chamfer Calculator you can easily generate the cnc G-Code needed to chamfer the back side of a part when cutting off the part with a parting tool.  As you can see in the easy to follow dialog above all you have to do is enter the chamfer angle, x and z chamfer start points, the z cut-off position, the parting tool width, which side of the parting tool is the z offset set on and the corner radii of the parting tool if any (if  none just enter 0).  Optionally you can specify a desired edge break radius of the corners of the chamfer too and if you prefer to use "R" values or "I,K" values for the G-Code circular Interpolation commands.

With the "Drill Peck Calculator" you can easily calculate drill cycles with automatically reducing drill peck amounts, specify dwells at specific intervals, all automatically! Very nice for deep hole drilling. Works for CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.

The Web Machinist "Tapping Calculator" provides the tap drill sizes for both inch and metric taps.  Cutting taps, form taps, roll taps and even helicoil taps.  Feed rates and spindle speeds are also calculated and you can even calculate your own custom tap drill sizes!


Above is the Web Machinist "Threading Calculator". Easily calculate the thread dimensions for threads 0-80 to 1 1/2-28 sizes! External sizes even calculates the measure over wires when using the 3 wire method to measure thread pitch diameters. Very cool!

The "Metal Weights Calculator" easily calculates the weights of 13 different metal groups and their alloys for shapes: Round, Rectangle, Square and Hexagon. Very useful when preparing job quotes.


Above is the "Soft Jaws Milling Calculator". You can easily calculate and program the tool path for various soft jaws such as "Rectangle Pocket", "Left Stop", "Right Stop", Through Jaws (no stop) or Circle Pockets". Very easy to use and fast! A real time saver when making a machine set-up.
